Botanical description of star jasmine

Also called Indian jasmine or false jasmine, star jasmine is a climbing shrub with twining stems that can reach more than nine meters in height. It is covered with evergreen, glazed leaves. From June to October, it produces a multitude of small white flowers which give off a very strong fragrance, close to jasmine. Star-shaped flower clusters bloom along the stems. Not to be confused with jasminewinter (Jasminum nudiflorum) which blooms from January to March and gate very fragrant yellow flowers.

Cultivation requirements of star jasmine

Star jasmine is very vigorous because it is resistant to drought and cold, down to -15°C. Water it well the first year after planting so that it settles in perfectly.
