Now Gabriel Landeskog reveals his absolute worst purchase.
– It got ugly after a week, he says in the podcast Släpp Sargen.

It has been a year to remember for Gabriel Landeskog. For a long time, the Swedish superstar looked like he would leave the Colorado Avalanche he had captained for many years, but at the last minute it worked out.

Reveals the most unnecessary purchase

Landeskog signed a new monster contract with Avalanche, worth around half a billion kroner. And talk about luck. In the season that followed, it was a complete success for Colorado, and Landeskog thus became the second Swedish team captain ever to lift the Stanley Cup.

The future looks bright for Landeskog, and it’s no understatement to say that his hockey life is alive right now. And it certainly doesn’t go empty in the wallet for that matter. But what is the absolute worst purchase he has made during his career? A car? A clock? His answer is far more unexpected.

– The worst thing I bought was a floor for the garage. It was fucking exciting…, he says in the podcast Släpp Sargen.

That’s how much it cost

It’s not the most expected answer, but apparently Landeskog is upset about that garage floor.

– It cost the shirt, but it was a plastic floor that they came in and installed, and then it looked nice for about a week. It got dirty, and then there is a layer between the plastic floor and the concrete, so it was dirty there too. Maybe it wasn’t worth all the money I spent on it – after all, it’s a garage floor, so nobody cares. But, it looked nice for a week.

Landeskog believes that the floor could definitely have been cheaper, although of course there are worse things to spend money on.
– I felt, now I’m going to treat myself to something, haha. It cost maybe SEK 25,000, so it was a bit unnecessary.
