At 09:38, the police received an alert about a robbery in progress against a jewelry store in the center of Täby, north of Stockholm.
– It was an alarm company that contacted the police. They saw on surveillance cameras that a person in the store had been tied up by several perpetrators, says police spokesperson Mats Eriksson.
When the police arrived at the scene, the perpetrators had left. The store staff should not have been physically injured in connection with the robbery.
A large police operation has been launched, among other things to catch the robbers.
– We are looking for the perpetrators. At the same time, we have police who talk to witnesses and secure leads, says Mats Eriksson.
It is unclear whether the perpetrators managed to get anything from the scene.
