After 200 seconds of disclosure about extensive work environment deficiencies at the Nordic Wellness gym chain, stories have poured in to the editorial office.
Scores of employees testify to sexism, personal attacks and public scolding of people in management.
– It has been very difficult to read that many people have been through the same thing, but on the other hand I am happy to see that this is finally coming to the surface, says one person.
After the disclosure, Nordic Wellness sent out a message to all of its employees. There they wrote that they think the feature that appeared in Aftonbladet is boring.
“We are aware of what has happened and have taken a series of measures to prevent similar behavior from occurring again. The people who are singled out in the program also do not continue to work in the company.”
Staff furious: “Seeing staff crying”
Now scores of staff rage against the statement.
– There are at least 29 more, and then 29 more, that have the same stories that appear in the program. I see staff crying, people walking into the wall. They are still working, says an instructor who calls the defense “bullshit”.

A site manager questions how Nordic Wellness can even know that they are no longer working.
– It does not appear exactly which managers it concerns in the feature. How are they supposed to know that they are no longer working?
– They had a golden chance to take the opportunity and examine themselves, but instead they just throw it away. It is quite remarkable, says a site manager.
The union is investigating several cases
The trade union Unionen has announced that they are investigating several cases at the company.
– Out of consideration for those affected, we are not in a position to comment on individual cases, says Josefin G Nilsson, press manager at Unionen.
They have also had an investigation regarding sexual harassment at the company.
Aftonbladet has contacted Nordic Wellness regarding their internal message, but they have not heard back. The company’s CEO Magnus Wilhelmsson has previously said that he takes the accusations seriously.
