Spain July inflation confirmed on the rise

(Finance) – Inflation increases in Spain in January. According to theSpanish statistical office INE, the consumer price index marked +0.1% on a monthly basis, as estimated by analysts and forecast in the preliminary estimate. In December prices had recorded zero change.

On an annual basis, there was growth of 3.4%, in line with the preliminary and consensus estimate, accelerating compared to +3.1% in December.

Harmonized inflation recorded a positive annual variation of 3.5%, as expected in the preliminary estimate and against +3.3% in the previous month. On a monthly basis, the figure marks -0.2% after +0% in December.
