South Africa an inquiry committee looks into accusations of arms

Did South Africa supply arms to Russia? An independent investigative committee has at least six weeks to shed light on the accusations made by the US ambassador to the country two weeks ago. This three-person committee, chaired by a retired judge, was appointed by the South African presidency. Rather than deny the accusations, the head of state, Cyril Ramaphosa had promised to open an investigation. It is now done. But the method does not convince.
