Sonic Generations May Appear at Sony State of Play

Rumors are flying that Sonic Generations will make a return at Sony’s State of Play event. The game is also expected to be available on PS4 and PS5.

Sonic Generations, is considered one of the modern Sonic games that was released specifically for the 20th anniversary of SEGA’s iconic mascot Sonic and was appreciated by fans. Released for PS3, this game combines classic side-scrolling levels with 3D stages, taking players back to some of the past episodes. While this game, considered one of the best 3D Sonic games, has so far only been playable on certain platforms, this may change according to recent rumors.

Sonic Generations May Make a Comeback at Sony State of Play

A tweet from Nick Baker, one of the founders of XboxEra, indicates that more than one game will be included in the upcoming State of Play presentation. Baker’s statement, “Sonic will live in the shadow of his own generation,” excited Sonic fans. Additionally, a user named Kurakasis, known as a “video game researcher”, claims that the name of the game will be Sonic x Shadow Generations.

Such rumors are usually met with skepticism, but the fact that Baker has made accurate predictions in the past suggests he may be right this time too. If these rumors are true, we’ll likely see the new Sonic Generations game at the State of Play presentation. It looks like we won’t have to wait long for definitive information.
