“Solo parent” card: what are the advantages for single-parent families?

On the same principle as the large family card, allowing parents with three or more children to benefit from numerous economic advantages, single parent families could also have their own card. This is the bill brought by the Renaissance deputy from Paris Fanta Berete, who wishes to create a “solo parent card” aimed at facilitating administrative procedures, and relieving the budget of single parents.

What benefits could single parents enjoy?

Here are the advantages offered by this “solo parent” card which could see the light of day next fall.

Facilitate administrative procedures

Economic benefits and discounts

MP wants to give single parents “reductions in supermarket chains or clothing brands (…) and why not a help with electricity bills“.

Priority places in the crèche

Single parents could, with this card, benefit from reserved places in the crèche, but also for extra-curricular activities. “In Paris, in September, to register your children for the sport, you have to stand in long queues during open days to hope to get a place. Priority solo parents for days off

The MP also proposes a priority to single parents for the choice of days off in the company. She also wants the days of “sick children” leave to be increased without taking into account the resources of single parents.
