Hundreds of police officers – on foot, at sea and in the air – are on site as royalty, foreign dignitaries and hundreds of thousands of Stockholmers take to the streets.
At 2:00 p.m., as usual, the King will declare the National Assembly open, followed by the Prime Minister’s declaration of government.
