Soccer: Sebastian Larsson to the men’s national soccer team

During Saturday morning, the Swedish Football Association themselves released the news that Larsson will take a place in Jon Dahl Tomasson’s management staff.

– I look forward to welcoming Sebastian to our coaching team. He comes with great experience from his playing career with a large number of international matches and many years of playing abroad, says the new national team captain via a press release.

“Happy and excited”

As a player, “Seb” made a total of 133 international matches between the years 2008 and 2021. He ended his career in AIK in the fall of 2022.

– It feels great to have the opportunity to once again be a part of the Swedish national team that meant so much to me during my active career as a player. I feel incredibly proud and happy and ready to get started, says Larsson himself.

The agreement initially extends over the spring meetings (March when Sweden meets Portugal and Albania, and in June when Denmark and Serbia await).
