Sunglasses, ice cream and shorts won’t keep it away.

On Wednesday, the snow will return – again.

– It will be slushy, says Erik Höjdgård-Olsen, meteorologist at SMHI.

In recent days, it has been reported that summer is here. This week, 25.6 degrees were measured in Halmstad and Aftonbladet’s reporter took this year’s first swim.

– These are numbers that bode well for perhaps reaching the year’s best temperatures, said Lasse Rydqvist, meteorologist at Klart.

Even next week, it will still be plus degrees, but in some parts of the country it will be significantly cooler. But there will be a setback.

Then comes the snow

In connection with the cool air coming in next week, it will be 0 degrees in some parts of the country. It mainly concerns northern and eastern Svealand and central Norrland.

– When the temperature is there, the precipitation form is snow, now especially thin snow, says Erik Höjdgård-Olsen.

Then there will be slush – and a yellow warning.

– The snow will probably melt quite quickly, as it is still quite warm outside. It will be sloppy.

Is it the last snow of spring?

It cannot be ruled out that there will be more snow in May, says Erik Höjdgård-Olsen.

– Even May can have setbacks, but it’s not as well known as the notorious April weather. It may snow, but it is much rarer.

Risk of flooding

SMHI has also issued a yellow warning for southern Norrland and northwestern Svealand.

– It’s the recent spring heat, we’ve had double-digit degrees, which leads to a lot of snow melting quickly.

This means that smaller bodies of water, such as ditches, streams and small rivers, can flood.
