– We do not own the meadows ourselves and as far as this meadow is concerned, the landowner no longer has any animals. Therefore, there was no natural path for the hay and it would have felt wrong to have to drive to the forest and throw it away, says Niclas Kareld, Kronoberg’s mowing guild.
The association spread the word that they were looking for someone who wanted to take care of the hay, among other things via the county board’s site for pasture brokerage and P4 Kronoberg.
– It didn’t take long before a very happy horse owner got in touch and the matter was resolved. It feels very nice that it will be useful. It is fantastic fodder for the animals.
