Utrecht – 34-year-old Appie B. from De Meern has been sentenced to six years in prison for shooting an acquaintance from The Hague at close range last year in Leidsche Rijn. According to the court in Utrecht, it has been proven that B. is guilty of attempted manslaughter. During an argument, he pulled out a firearm and shot the acquaintance at close range, with the bullet going through the victim’s neck. It was a miracle that the victim survived.
