Showed Swedish racist art – receives UN criticism

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

The exhibition in question took place in 2014 in the premises of the Danish Parliament in Christiansborg. The exhibition was organized by the Danish People’s Party and the anti-Islam association Trykkefrihedsselskabet in support of Dan Park’s freedom of expression. In Sweden, Park has been convicted of incitement against ethnic groups on repeated occasions.

The exhibition was reported to the UN committee by the Swedish activist and Member of Parliament Momodou Jallow (V), who himself was depicted in racist contexts in several of the exhibited images.

According to the UN statement, the Danish state made a mistake in providing its premises, and the Danish state is called upon to both apologize to Momodou Jallow and to draw up new guidelines for racist hate speech.

— It was an offense against my client, but also against others who belong to the same group. Therefore, the Danish authorities have a duty to deal with this. Otherwise, you violate my client and this group’s human rights, says Momodou Jallow’s legal representative Niels-Erik Hansen to SVT.
