Shopping Spree raffle tickets half sold out Inn executive director

Tickets are about half sold for the May 11 Local Shopping Spree fundraiser draw for the Inn of the Good Shepherd, the agency’s executive director says.

There are 2,500 tickets available in the raffle, said Myles Vanni.

Last year’s raised about $40,000 for the Inn of the Good Shepherd, for programs like it’s food bank that feeds on average 1,800 people per month, he said.

Tickets are available until May 9 at localshoppingspree.com, or in-person, from Dog Eat Dog, the Lambton Mall service kiosk, and the Inn of the Good Shepherd, said #local’s Rich Bouchard. In-person purchases are cash only. More contest details are also available online.

The raffle is being run in conjunction with the online platform aimed at supporting local and encouraging connections, officials said in a news release.

Twenty-six prize packages are available in the draw, and the grand prize package is worth $5,000, officials said.

Additional draws may be held in 2022 depending on how this one goes, Vanni said.
