Shadow wants to become a benchmark for cloud computing in

The French nugget of cloud gaming Shadow is changing. No longer a question of limiting itself to video games, it extends its perimeter to embrace the whole cloud computing.
Several major announcements were made during a press conference held this Wednesday, May 18. The general manager of the company, Eric Sèle, came to detail them in the 01Hebdo program of 01TV.

A Power Option at 14.99 euros

Its basic offer at 29.99 euros to access a PC in the cloud does not change. But a new Power Option at an additional 14.99 euros per month is offered. It allows you to benefit from a more upscale and more efficient configuration.

“It was a request from the community to change the platform», Comments Eric Sèle. “It will be the ultimate to play”.

Depending on the user’s data center, these may be AMD RDNA 2 GPUs, such as the Radeon Pro V620, or “Nvidia GeForce RTX class 3070” cards. A launch in Canada and Austria is planned.

8.99 euros for 2 TB of storage

A storage option, Shadow Drive, also appears. It will be free up to 20 GB and at a price of 8.99 euros per month for the premium version at 2 TB. “It is independent of Shadow’s PC offer and hosted in France”, said Eric Sèle, attached to the trusted cloud label. It should be officially launched in the fall throughout Europe, then in North America.

Finally, let’s mention Shadow Business Solutions which, as its name suggests, will be intended for companies. The intended audience ? Those who have to work on big machines like designers, graphic artists, architects or engineers. They will be able to travel to work without the need to invest in expensive configurations.
