Several risk blood infection after visiting the dentist

The newspaper learned that a patient, who visited the dental care earlier this week, was urged by the staff to seek treatment due to the risk of blood infection.

The 16 patients affected have been offered blood tests and vaccines against hepatitis B.

It has emerged that the instruments that have been run in the dishwasher and sterilized may still have had impurities – such as blood, the newspaper writes.

The infectious disease control in Örebro still assesses that the risk of infection is very small.

“We take this very seriously. We need to investigate why our hygiene routines at Folktandvården Karlskoga have broken down in this case,” says Idakajsa SandDirector of public dental care in one press release.

The incident is now reported to the Health and Care Inspectorate according to lex Maria.
