According to The Sydney Morning Herald At least four people have been killed in an act of violence in the mall. According to information in news.com.au, a man who was running around armed with a knife should have been shot by police.
Emergency services and police were called to the scene just before four o’clock on Saturday afternoon local time.
Witnesses spoken to by Australian media say gunfire was heard as the shopping center was evacuated. A witness tells a local radio station that she saw two dead people as she fled the mall.
The police have made a post on X where they urge people to avoid the area.
