More than 200 people have died due to floods in Kenya.

In an address to the nation, President William Ruto says “meteorological reports paint a gloomy picture” as a cyclone threatens to make landfall over the Kenyan coast in the coming days.

Skyfall has lashed East Africa in recent weeks, and more than 150,000 people have been displaced from their homes because of it.

Next week, schools in Kenya, which had been closed due to the catastrophic weather, were to reopen, but Ruto announced that it would be postponed indefinitely.
