#SessionLive Kham Meslien and #SessionLive Amel Brahim Jelloul

A double bass player and a soprano came, each in turn, to share their desires with poetry.

The 1time #SessionLive guest is Amel Brahim-Djelloul.

Those who know her already know how much the lyrical art that she practices in the most beautiful halls with the most beautiful orchestras for the most beautiful pieces of the repertoire does not quite sum it up. Not that Amel Brahim-Djelloul has not devoted a remarkable lyrical career to it during which she has already interpreted the greatest roles, but in this career as seasoned as it is brilliant, there is also a special relationship with other cultures. And particularly to that of her Algerian origins and that of the Kabyle culture to which she returns today, as if lyrical art had guided her to her roots.

Then we receive Kham Meslien in another #SessionLive.

A festival organizer in demand of solo, and it is for Kham the click as much as the revelation. Twenty years of loyal service in a band (Lo’Jo), and Kham left the artistic direction of his career to the strings of his double bass. From now on, it should take the less codified route of music where freedom reigns. That of jazz and its improvisations dictated by the moment, that of purely instrumental compositions. Written and honed on the stages, those of Kham took advantage of an imposed confinement to refine and immortalize themselves in Fantômes…Futurs, his first solo album.
