Sentenced for murder of Swedish man in Copenhagen

According to the prosecutors, the murder was part of a conflict between criminal gangs in Malmö, but there is no proof of that, the Copenhagen district court believes. Thus, the men will not have their punishment doubled when the penalty is announced on November 7. In Denmark, there is a possibility to – according to a special “gang paragraph” – impose a harsher sentence if the crime can be linked to a conflict between criminals.

However, the court considers that it is an aggravating circumstance that the men used firearms in a public place. The 36-year-old man, who lived in Copenhagen at the time, was shot from close range in, among other things, the head.
