Instead, the Swedish hope had to settle for another bronze medal in Oberhof, but he is just as proud of it.
– It feels very good. I’ve been getting a lot of emails saying I should take shooting courses and stuff. Now I’m showing all the critics with two individual medals at a WC, even if I’m a little upset about the four tenths, says “Sebbe” to SVT after the race.

Paying tribute to “Sebbe”

There was also a relieved Läreid after the race who for a long time thought it was over when Samuelsson entered the race after a strong final sprint.
– I went for my life the last lap. It was nerve-wracking to follow Sebbe at the end. I thought that Sebbe could take five seconds on me in the race, but I’m so happy that I managed, says the Norwegian to the TV channel.
