Ritchson told Entertainment Weekly:
I think Reacher is the American James Bond. People will hate me for this. I love Bond, but I’m starting to like him a bit misogynistic and predictable.

Reacher actually has no idea of his own sophistication, says Ritchson. Bond on the other hand always know how cool or capable or indestructible he is. According to the Amazon Prime star, this reduces the emotional stakes of the story. “We as an audience are already too experienced to find this entertaining“, he explains.
