A year ago, the first season of The Last of Us started on HBO and was one of the most exciting best video game adaptations to date. The quality was right, as were the ratings. No wonder that the continuation of the story was quickly decided. Preparations for the second season of the horror series are currently in full swing.
Filming for the next The Last of Us chapter will begin in Vancouver on February 12, 2024. Individual members of the cast and crew are already meeting to get together in the best possible way prepare for the upcoming shoot. A picture from one of these meetings ended up on Instagram that made the tension rise.
In The Last of Us Season 2, Ellie meets two new characters played by Isabela Merced and Young Mazino
For the first time we see Bella Ramsey (Game of Thrones), Isabela Merced (Dora and the Golden City) and Young Mazino (Beef) together in front of the camera. They’re not in costume yet, but the anticipation is building. Ramsey (pictured in the middle with glasses) returns as Ellie back to the zombie apocalypse. The other two are new additions whose characters we will get to know in the second season.

Merced (to the left of Ramsey) plays Dinah. Mazino (behind Ramsey and Merced) takes on the role of her ex-boyfriend Jesse. Both characters come from the original, where they side with Ellie despite their complicated relationship. Nothing more will be revealed at this point about how the story progresses.
In addition, another important person can be discovered in the snapshot: To the left of Merced is none other than Craig Mazin, who is with Neil Druckmann, the creator of the video game creative head is behind the film adaptation. When does The Last of Us season 2 start?
