The SD official wants to celebrate Nazi Germany’s attack on Poland.

In an email to 30 people at the SD’s parliamentary office, which Aftonbladet has seen, he invites to a commemorative coffee in the Riksdag today.

“With a call to everyone to celebrate this holiday with due devotion and a variety of cardamom length,” he writes in the email.

The email was sent out on Thursday afternoon to around 30 employees at the Sweden Democrats’ parliamentary office. The sender is an official at the Swedish Democrats’ Riksdag office and a political expert.

The email is titled “Second World War Initiation Effect” and begins with “On the occasion of the 83rd anniversary of Nazi Germany’s attack on Poland.” It ends with an invitation to celebrate the day and an invitation to coffee in a lunch room.

On September 1, 1939, Germany attacked Poland.

Among others, the Sweden Democrats’ press department is on the recipient list.

Aftonbladet has searched for the official without success.

Sammy Almedal, chief of staff at the Sweden Democrats’ parliamentary office, was one of the recipients and confirms the email’s authenticity.

– I have seen it and I have informed the employee that it was totally inappropriate, and he has apologized for it, says Sammy Almedal.

Are there any consequences?

– I don’t know that yet.

However, he describes the incident as “outrageous”.

– The employee has apologized and promised not to repeat it.

The chancellor states that coffee at the Riksdag chancellery was cancelled.

– The employee apologized and explained why he wrote the way he did and the coffee was cancelled.

Is it common to make jokes about the Second World War in the SD’s parliamentary office?

– No, I wouldn’t say it is, says Sammy Almedal.
