(Finance) – The advances of Ministry of Education on school data show that, compared to 15 years ago, we have lost 800,000 pupilsbut at the same time they are increased exponentially the enrollment of pupils with disabilitiesgoing from 2% to 4% (in Sardinia, Lombardy, Liguria, Umbria, Abruzzo, Lazio, and Sicily the percentage is even higher).
A confirmed figure even if we consider only the most recent period: in the last two years the total number of students enrolled in school they fell by about 220 thousand unitswith the cancellation of about 3 thousand classes, while the the number of disabled pupils has grown by over 21 thousand. Today, there are over 290 thousand pupils with disabilities, on average one per class.
If to the pupils with support add the approx 400 thousand students with special training needs (students with Dsa, with specific learning disabilities, and Bes, with special educational needs) we arrive at over 10% of the student population, which largely burdens the teachers.
