Amsterdam started the match strongly and took the lead in the second quarter after Maria Verschoor tapped in the ball. She did this after preparatory work by Moes, who not much later made it 2-0 with a field goal. About half a minute before the final whistle, Yibbi Jansen made it 2-1 for SCHC through a penalty corner.
