Sandra Näslund a winner at the World Cup again – the Swede’s wonderful revenge today: “I’m really happy”

Victory in the premiere but then things went downhill for Sandra Näslund.
In Innichen, the ski cross star was back as a winner.
– The skating has felt good, so I’m really happy, she says after the World Cup competition in Italy.

The 19th straight victory was secured in the World Cup premiere in Val Thorens, France. Then it got harder too Sandra Näslund.

The 27-year-old finished fourth in the subsequent final in France and was only fifth in Arosa, Switzerland. All of a sudden, the normally superior star found himself in a tough and difficult situation.

But not an impossible situation to turn around. She showed that in Innichen.

The article continues below.

In Italy she made it back to the podium and won ahead of Fanny Smith, Switzerland and Hannah Schmidt, Canada.
– It felt good today and it has every day here. It was a difficult track and the third turn was important. I saw that Marielle (Thompson, Canada) passed there in all her heats and I knew I needed to do well there, she says in Viaplay’s broadcast.
– I think it got better. I just tried to ride smart and fast.

On Friday, Sandra Näslund has a chance to repeat her success, as new competitions await in Innichen. There was no further success on the men’s side.

Elliot Barolo finished in 18th place and became the best Swede.
