Promoting the circular economy
Galaxy for the Planetthis is the name of this platform of sustainable development and Samsung has established an initial set of targets to be achieved by 2025 to decrease its environmental footprint and reduce resource depletion from production to disposal of its Galaxy products. Several commitments are at the heart of this program.
The first is to incorporate recycled materials into all new mobile products by 2025. So it starts with the Galaxy presented this Wednesday. Next, the manufacturer wants to remove all plastics from its packaging. Another promise, the reduction in the consumption ofenergy standby of all smartphone chargers to less than 0.005 W. For the moment, Samsung has managed to go down to 0.02 W. Even more ambitious, the desire to achieve zero waste to landfill to promote thecircular economy.
