Salcef, new contracts for over 360 million

Salcef Intesa raises target price and confirms Buy

(Finance) – Salcef, Euro Ferroviaria and Coget Impianti, subsidiaries of Salcef Groupare first in the ranking and in some cases have already received the award of contracts, for a total of 364 million euros, with national and European customers in the electric traction, substations, railway signaling and transmission lines sectors. The awards – explains a note – subjected to the usual documentary checks, will lead, upon their outcome, to the signing of the relevant procurement contracts within a short term.

The main part of the new orders within the Italian railway network concerns maintenance and renewal activities of electric traction systems and the construction and maintenance of electrical substations in implementation of new three-year Framework Agreements, as well as the construction of railway signaling systems for the project to create the European railway traffic control system “ERTMS” on lines in central Italy.

Furthermore: the municipality of Padua, through one of its subsidiaries, has awarded the contract from PNRR funds for the construction of the new SIR2 tramway, within which Salcef SpA is responsible for the electrification and signaling activities; the Municipality of Naples has entrusted Euro Ferroviaria srl ​​with the contract for the supply and construction of the signaling and telecommunications system of the city’s tram line 4; ASTRAL SpA, the Lazio Region company responsible for managing regional railway lines,
has awarded a contract for the construction of new electrical substations on the Rome-Viterbo line.

Finally, Coget Impianti was awarded by Terna three Framework Agreements for the maintenance of overhead power lines and for the laying of cables with related civil works, while from the Austrian customer Tiroler Wasserkraft AG two contracts for the construction of power lines.

The orders will generate a significant increase in the production capacity of the Group’s Energy Business Unit, which produced revenues of 76.4 million euros in the first nine months of 2023.
