Barbie and Ken get their first live action movie. Filming is currently taking place in California, before the film’s theatrical release, scheduled for July 19, 2023. Snapshots of Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling in neon costumes were immortalized for the occasion, while a roller skating sequence was immortalized. We were also able to see America Ferrera and Will Ferrel lend themselves to the exercise for the needs of the feature film.
The Barbie movie is directed by Greta Gerwig, director known for the latest adaptation of Daughters of Doctor March or Lady Bird. It’s a safe bet that this live action on the famous doll will take the opposite view of the character that we are used to knowing.
