A Russian bomber has been stopped by Danish warplanes over the North Sea, the Dutch defense announced.
The Netherlands received a warning on Monday morning that the bomber may have been heading towards the country’s security area. Both Dutch and Danish planes were sent up to stop it, the Netherlands Air Force writes on X, formerly Twitter.
It is unclear what the bomber’s business was. In social media, there is speculation that it may have something to do with Russian military exercises that began at the beginning of August.
