Russia has announced that it will allow the import of products from the West without the permission of the brand owner, as the embargoes prevent the entry of Western products into the country.

Prime Minister Mikhhail Mishutin approved “parallel imports” under the fourth package to support small and medium-sized businesses.

Due to the embargoes, inflation increased in Russia.

Mishutin said that until now, his products could not be sold in Russia without the approval of the brand owner.

The prime minister said that allowing retailers to import without the consent of companies aims to saturate the market so that people can get the necessary products quickly and to ensure product supply despite “unfriendly moves by foreign politicians”.

In a statement on television, Misutin stated that the product list will be prepared in coordination with the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Annual inflation in Russia rose to 15.66% this week, while the value of the ruble fell. There were high prices and supply problems, especially in sugar. It has been announced that an investigation has been launched against the country’s five largest sugar producers.

Russia said that in order to increase the value of the ruble, “unfriendly countries” would have to pay for natural gas in rubles.

The EU rejected the idea, however, and German Chancellor Olaf Shcohz was told that Europe could make a euro payment to a Russian bank unaffected by the embargo, and then the bank could convert that money into rubles.

Since the beginning of the occupation of Ukraine on February 24, hundreds of global brands have withdrawn from the Russian market or have stopped their sales.

Some companies continued to sell basic nutrition and hygiene products to the bottle.

On the other hand, with a new decision, Russian government agencies are prohibited from purchasing foreign software for critical information infrastructure without prior approval.

The decision covers telecom and information systems used by government agencies, as well as defense, health, transportation, energy and finance companies.
