Since its inception in spring 2016, the Pop-Up has been a beacon of hope for the community, offering gently used clothing, linens, towels and shoes for those in need, said Jen Middleton, chair of the event.

“The demand for essential items has reached unprecedented levels and, now more than ever, we must unite as a community to support our neighbors in need,” said Middleton.

This inclusive event aims to provide assistance without any questions asked. An outdoor store will be set up in downtown’s Harmony Square, with sections akin to a department store. Volunteers will be available to help shoppers who ask.

“The Downtown Central Neighborhood Association has been a proud supporter of the Pop-Up Street Store for many years,” said Jayme Wilson, chair of the group. “We recognized the need in our community and wanted to extend a helping hand.”

Donations are welcome on Tuesday, June 4 and Thursday, June 6 from 5 pm to 7 pm at 141 Chatham St. in Brantford.
