Moscow once again targets the International Criminal Court. This time it is therefore the president of the jurisdiction, the Pole Piotr Hofmanski, who is targeted by Russia. It is not specified what he is accused of. No more than the two other judges of the Court who are also among the new targets: Vice-President Ibanez Carranza, and German judge Bertram Schmitt. Little explanation for the latter. He is not president of the Court and did not participate in the issuance of the arrest warrant against Vladimir Putin last March.

The Russian Investigative Committee opened an investigation immediately afterwards. Then two months later, prosecutor Karim Khan was indicted for “ attack on the representative of a foreign state “. And the three judges who validated the arrest warrant requested by the prosecutor against the Russian president were also prosecuted.

Do they risk arrest? In The Hague, after several weeks of discussions, the Dutch authorities finally agreed to make armored vehicles available to representatives of the Court targeted by Moscow.
