RTL cancels remake of successful show after only 8 months

From 1996 to 2005, 7 days, 7 heads was broadcast on RTL. In early 2022, the satirical talk show returned with a revised concept and new moderator back: The modern version of 7 days, 7 heads was led by Guido Cantz and was considered a beacon of hope in RTL’s program in February.

7 days, 7 heads with Guide Cantz on RTL

It’s been almost five months since the last episode aired without the show being renewed for a second season. As now emerges from a report by DWDL, 7 days, 7 heads has no future at RTL. The new edition of the format once conceived by Rudi Carrell is set by the broadcaster been.

The main reason for this is the disappointing odds. Although Cantz was initially able to prevail against the competition with his version of 7 days, 7 heads, the numbers are decreased from week to week. The consequence is clear: “There will be no new episodes for the time being”an RTL spokesman is quoted as saying.

For Cantz, the dismissal is 7 days, 7 heads already the second TV defeat this year. In July, RTL said goodbye to I trust you. The entertainment show was previously positioned as a Wetten, dass..? alternative.
