Rosa Lindstedt the reliable defender of the Naislijons ends her

Rosa Lindstedt played her first match in the Finnish premier league already in the 2002–03 season. He ended his career in Sweden, in Brynäs.

Rosa Lindstedt, 35, has decided to end his long playing career. Lindstedt, who played in Brynäs IF of the Swedish league for the past three seasons, told the club about it on the website (you will switch to another service).

Lindstedt is known as the credit pack of the Women’s Lions, and she has played in all World Cup tournaments since 2011. He played a total of 340 national matches. Lindstedt has been with the national team in winning two Olympic bronze medals, one World Championship silver and four World Championship bronze medals.

In this season’s World Championships in Canada, Lindstedt was facing a new situation with the Finnish team, when Finland opened the games for the first time in the weaker B group.

– This kind of experience could fit into my own career, Lindstedt said at the time of the Games.

In the Finnish main league, Lindstedt played his first matches already in the 2002–03 season, when he represented Ylöjärvi Ilves. After this, Lindstedt has played in Tappara (2003–07), Ilves (2007–12) and JYP (2012–16), before moving to Sweden to the HV71 club (2016–20). Lindstedt won two championships in Finland and four silver medals in Sweden.

Lindstedt told Urheilu about a year ago what his everyday life was like in Finland. At that time, he worked a full week in addition to playing, but in Sweden he finally got to enjoy being a professional. He especially enjoyed playing in Brynäs, even though the Swedish championship did not come off.

– These have been three fantastic years and I have always worn the Brynäs shirt with pride. I have felt like at home here and met several wonderful people in the club, said Lindstedt, who served as the team’s captain for the previous two seasons.

– It has been an honor to have the opportunity to play with world-class players. My years in Brynäs are a time I will always remember with a smile on my face.
