Roope Koistinen the responsible coach of Oulu Karppies junior goalkeepers

Junior coach Roope Koistinen will move behind the big racket to become the goalkeeper coach of the Grand Rapids Griffins club.

Served as goalkeeper coach of the Kärppien U20 team and in charge of youth goalkeeper coaching Roope Koistinen will be the goalkeeper coach of the AHL team Grand Rapids Griffins.

The Grand Rapids Griffins are the farm team of the NHL club Detroit Red Wings.

In Kärpi, 30-year-old Koistinen has been responsible for the goalkeeper coaching of under-16s for nine years. With his lessons, the NHL club Colorado Avalanche, among others, have been promoted to the Oulu Kärppie league team and through that to the world Justus Annunenthe AHL team of the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins Joel Blomqvist and the NHL club Ottawa Senators Leevi Meriläinen.

Director of Kärppie development Lasse Kukkonen wishes Koistinen a lot of luck and good luck on his journey.
