The statement made by Rolls-Royce Türkiye about this special collection was as follows: “Rolls-Royce Motor Cars is unveiling four magnificent ‘Dragon’ bespoke cars to celebrate the Lunar New Year. The collection consists of four vehicles in total, including three Phantom Extended models and one Cullinan. The series includes special designs with a longer chassis than the standard versions. Bespoke cars will be available to all global customers during the Lunar New Year, which starts on February 10 in China. It was shared that the hand painting on the front passenger panel of the art cars, inspired by the traditional dragon symbol, was carried out with meticulous details over more than two weeks. The different shades of red used in the interior design of the vehicle represent prosperity and good luck in Chinese culture. The modern and minimalist interpretation of the never-seen dragon form shows that the vehicles on display have remained faithful to the original design. The Bespoke Starlight Headliner design depicts a dragon pattern by 677 stars.

The custom star headliner has 5,449 stitches on each piece and took over 20 hours to complete. Rebecca Davies, Rolls-Royce’s Bespoke Design Specialist, said: “Our aim is to express the power of the dragon symbol by interpreting it in a modern way. Our design aims to capture the essence of the dragon by reflecting its movement and energy. “Reinterpreting this important icon has been an exciting adventure that shows us how a design can be transformed with different craft techniques,” he said.

In the exterior design, designers worked to apply various color combinations to individual models. Duotone Cherry Red and Selby Gray on Crystal trim for the Cullinan; For Phantom Extended, Silver and Cherry Red and monolithic Black colors were used on Crystal coating. Four specially designed vehicles are decorated with a bespoke coachline dragon motif, hand-painted in Phoenix Red.

Each dragon was placed symbolically east, in the direction of the rising sun. The meanings hidden in the details and the touches of art provide the owners of this special collection with a cultural journey experience. Vehicles where symbols of Chinese mythology meet modern luxury carry their drivers from one era to another, building a bridge between the past and the future.
