The world’s most expensive car Rolls-Royce Boat Tail The second of the model went in front of the cameras.

At the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, Rolls-Royce showcased the second of its highly exclusive, body-built Boat Tail. The specially designed Boat Tail Convertible, the first model of which was introduced last year, was the most expensive Rolls-Royce model of all time with an estimated price of £ 20 million. The second in a series of three cars produced by Rolls-Royce’s luxury arm Coachbuild, the car is an extraordinary blend of craftsmanship, intense detail and exuberant opulence. The custom-built car represents the pinnacle of the brand’s body capacity. Crafted by a client with homage to his father and family heritage, the car features unique mother-of-pearl-inspired exterior trim and interior details. The Boat Tail is completely handcrafted, with body panels shaped from large, single sheets of aluminum to create its distinctive outlines, inspired by early 20th century racing yachts.

The client presented Rolls-Royce Coachbuild Designers a selection of four pearl shells, personally selected from their private collection for their unique colors and intricacies. The shells served as the inspiration for the exterior color, one of the most complex coatings ever created by Rolls-Royce. The technical fiber lintels of the Boat Tail feature a rose gold woven thread.

The world’s most expensive car is also unique with its design.

The aft deck, which houses the unique ‘butterfly design’ suite, is finished with a satin brushed surface and fine lines of Royal Walnut in rose gold plating to provide a delicate and sophisticated look. Viewed from above, a harmonious balance and satin effect is observed between the frosted engine hood and the tactile wood aft deck, in contrast to the glossy front and side perspectives. From the front, the Pantheon grill, milled from a single solid aluminum billet, is adorned with a Spirit of Ecstasy made of rose gold.

Coachbuild Design Unit Alex Innes; “Boat Tail is a step change in creativity and creative freedom. Building a motor car by hand opens up a new field of exploration and possibility. We can achieve and solve challenges that normal industrialized methods would prohibit. It is the story of two worlds: a modern motor car with contemporary design made possible by historical techniques and deep-rooted craft. It’s truly unique. “As a Luxury Home, Coachbuild takes our work to a new area; It is the haute couture of our industry. And for Rolls-Royce as a brand, it is both a return to our roots and a contemporary revolution in traditional automotive manufacturing where we have turned the impossible into a stunning reality.”
