Right-wing conservative Morawiecki is asked to form a Polish government

The right-wing nationalist party Law and Justice did indeed become the party with the most individual votes in the recent election with 35 percent of the vote – but the party has lost its majority in parliament, so Morawiecki will find it difficult to gather a majority behind a government.

On the other side is former Prime Minister and President of the European Council Donald Tusk, who leads the Citizens’ Coalition. There have previously been rumors that Tusk would be allowed to try to form a government first, but that will not be the case.
