Residents of an area in the fire-ravaged town of Lahaina on the island of Maui received an evacuation order on Saturday. The cause was a flaring fire, according to the authorities in Hawaii.
It was later announced that the emergency services had managed to get the fire under control, but that the evacuees could not yet return home.
So far, 115 people have been confirmed dead in the fires, which are being described as the deadliest in the United States in the last 100 years.
