Residents of Vleutenseweg somewhat reassured: Utrecht is allocating 300,000 euros for road safety

Residents of Vleutenseweg somewhat reassured Utrecht is allocating 300000 euros

The report, published in October, was damning. The conclusion was that only if the Vleutenseweg undergoes “a complete redesign” from facade to facade can road safety be maximally improved. This complete redevelopment is a bridge too far for the municipality, there is no money for it. However, a number of measures from the report have already been implemented. This concerns speed displays, the removal of fencing along the cycle paths, better adjustment of traffic lights in several places and better adjustment of sound signals at crossings for visually impaired people.
