Residents go to the Council of State to request plans

Amersfoort is building a new residential area a stone’s throw from the historic center. There are to be 850 homes in flats, some flats will be 70 meters high. They will be the tallest buildings in the city. The city council approved the plan at the end of September, but concerns were raised earlier. SP faction leader Hugo Kruyt called the houses of about 40 square meters “chicken coops” and BeterAmersfoort feared noise pollution.
