Red Bull is now tied for the longest winning streak in F1 history after Max Verstappen won the Hungarian GP. Valtteri Bottas stated on Saturday that both Alfa Romeo cars should be in the points. Right at the start, however, teammate Guanyu Zhou crashed.

Max Verstappen drove the Hungarian GP to victory in the F1 series. At the same time, Red Bull made history. Red Bull is now tied for the longest winning streak in F1 series history.

Red Bull has won 12 races in a row. Previously, the record was held by McLaren from 1988, when it won 11 races in a row.

Valtteri Bottas won’t get up anymore team mate Guanyu Zhou after the start tumbling to the points, but 12:s. The Alfa Romeo drivers got off to a great start with Zhou reaching the fifth grid in qualifying and Bottas behind him in the seventh grid.

However, Zhou got off to a bad start. Bottas was stuck behind him. Zhou dropped eleven spots in the opening round. Bottas, on the other hand, seven. After that, it is difficult for the Finn to gain points.

Zhou explained to Viaplay his poor start due to such an electronic fault. The power had disappeared, even though the engine had the necessary revolutions when releasing the clutch.

Valtteri Bottas had not yet heard the reason for Zhou’s miserable departure at Viaplay’s interview point.

– Unfortunately, the teammate got a bad start. I do not know what happened. I had to dodge, Bottas told Viaplay.

– The start was bad, but the first round won’t change. We were underdogs to those who rode on soft tires.

On Saturday, Bottas stated on Viaplay that Alfa Romeo should be on both points on Sunday.

– The pace was not dizzying during the race anyway. It’s hard to say whether the points could have been possible, Bottas formulated after Sunday’s race.

McLaren continued to go surprisingly hard again. Lando Norris drove second behind Verstappen. Sergio Perez makes a hard climb on the Hungaroring circuit, which is notoriously difficult to overtake. Another Red Bull driver, Perez, rose from ninth on the starting grid to third.

Mercedes Lewis Hamilton defeated Verstappen in Saturday’s qualifying session and took the pole, but dropped to fourth at Sunday’s start. In the same position, Hamilton also finished ahead of McLaren Oscar Piastria.
