November has been darker than usual in almost the entire country. In Östersund, the sun only peeked out for nine hours during the entire month.

When November is now over, SMHI can state that there have been fewer hours of sunshine than usual. As an example, Stockholm has had just under 20 hours of sunshine compared to the usual 45 in November.

– The feeling that many probably had that it was a rather sunny November is now confirmed. The data agrees, says Linus Karlsson, meteorologist at SMHI.

Lund stands out in the measurements for November. There, there have been a full 49 hours of sunshine, which is more in the normal direction and top rating for the country. Most measuring stations usually register between 40 and 50 hours of sunshine in November.

Even in Gothenburg, it has been more normal with 46 hours of sunshine. At the bottom is Östersund with only a total of nine hours of sunlight.

So far, the days are also getting shorter throughout the country. But in three weeks, on December 21, the winter solstice occurs. After that, it gets, albeit slowly, a little brighter again. If now the sun peeks out.
