Raymond Depardon: filming the trials “will give reality incredible strength”

The trials can now be filmed, according to an official decree published this Friday by the government which wishes to restore the confidence of the French towards a largely unknown justice. Interview with the photographer and filmmaker Raymond Depardon, director in 2003 on an exceptional basis of the documentary 10th chamber, moments of hearings.

All hearings can now be the subject of a filming request, including those usually closed to the public, such as hearings with the juvenile judge, those relating to family matters or the application of sentences.
