(Finance) – The president of the Emilia-Romagna Region and commissioner for the realization of the project, Stephen Bonacciniconfirmed that the services conference – the table that brings together all those involved in some way – and at the beginning of 2023 work will begin on the regasifierwhich will be moored off the port of Ravenna. The floating platform in the forecasts will have to serve to increase Italy’s energy autonomy. After the presentation of the project by Snamin fact, there was time until August 30 to submit requests for additions (about twenty arrived) and observations, which are instead about 10, including the very critical ones of Legambiente and Italia Nostra.
Snam now has twenty days to respond and a new session of the Services Conference will be convened in early October to discuss it. Then there will be another twenty days for opinions And authorizations, therefore, at the end of October, the conference will finish its works, according to a much shorter time frame than those usually used for a work of this type. If everything goes smoothly, in first four months of the 2023 the works will start.
The remarks and the requests for integration they concern various aspects of the project: the positioning of the onshore filtering and regulation system, mitigation and compensation works, dredging to allow access to ships, the materials used, fire prevention and the issue of lowering the temperature of the sea water that will be used in the regasification process.
