Rats have long been part of the Parisian landscape. In the 19th century, they were particularly feared since it was known that their fleas could carry the plague bacillus. There was the movie Ratatouille and the multiplication of pet rats, reputed to be intelligent. At the same time, two years from the Olympics, they are a target to be shot down.
