The traffic police in Värmland’s operation against A-tractors last week produced a grim result. A large majority of the vehicles were found to be defective.
When the police in Värmland made a major effort against A-tractors and mopeds last week, the result was more than 40 illegal driving, 32 revoked driving licenses and fines were handed out for vehicle deficiency in 56 cases.
– These are quite frightening statistics. Very few of those we checked have survived. It is serious. It is clear that control and legislation regarding A-tractors is not sufficient, says Mikael Blomberg at the police in Värmland.
When asked what the solution is, he answers:
– I see no other solution than to ban the vehicle category. That is my opinion, he says.
